ENGLISH VOCABULARY UNIT 1 AND 2 PHYSICAL EDUCATION

A lot of time has passed since I last posted in English, and this is unaceptable!!, so I will try to post, in English, at least once a month from now on.

The first post of this course is about vocabulary and dodgeball. 

First off, I would like to introduce you to the vocabulary that we are using in physical education. I have tried to make it easy for you by adding pictures and coments and I hope it will be useful for everyone.

At the end of the post you can find a printable file just in case you prefer to download it to study.

We will start with actions and equipment:

ACTIONS:

TO RUN: CORRER                           TO JUMP: SALTAR               TO CLIMB: TREPAR, ESCALAR. 

TO THROUGH: LANZAR                                         TO PASS: PASAR A UN COMPAÑERO

TO HIT THE BALL: GOLPEAR LA PELOTA.                           

TO LEAVE: DEJAR, MARCHARSE. For example: leave your ball inside the hoop!!! Deja el balón dentro del aro!!

TO PUT: PONER You can use this verb with the same sentence  than leave. 

TO TOUCH: Tocar 

TO SHOOT: Lanzar a canasta o a portería.                         LINE UP: A la fila
 

SCORE: Anotar, marcar un gol, una canasta, etc… También es el marcador en un partido, o un juego.

WARM UP: CALENTAMIENTO.                                                           CORNER: ESQUINA

EQUIPMENT

HOOP: Aro                                                            SOFT  BALL: Pelota blanda

 CONE: Cono                                                                       LADDER: ESPALDERA, ESCALERA

BENCH: BANCO                                                             BASKET: CANASTA

GOAL: PORTERÍA                                                                                    CHESTGUARD : petos.

                                                

 TRACKSUIT: Chándal                                           SHIRT: camiseta                                                 

Socks: Calcetines                                                                                    Zapatillas de deporte: SNEAKERS, TRAINERS.

      

  

COAT: Abrigo, chaqueta.                                                                   SHORT: pantalón corto.
